Alien, Cow, Tiger

Target group: All ages
Group size: 5-50 (5-10 online)
What do you need online: Possibility to stand in front of your camera and make some noises.
Purpose of the exercise: Warm-up, having fun, accepting mistakes, listening, collaboration.
Instructions:
(Live) “Let`s make a nice circle and take some space around you so you can move your arms without hurting anyone around you.”
(Online) “Stand up and make sure that we will see at least half of your body on the screen. You can turn your microphone off. Feel free to make some noise wherever you are!
We´ve got three different creatures in this improvisation game. First, we´ve got an alien. It has tactile horns above its head, and it says “piip-piip-piip”. Let´s try this together. Repeat after me.
The second creature is a tiger. It has paws and nails up beside its head and it roars and growls. Let´s try this together. The third creature is my favorite, because it´s so funny I can´t act it without laughing. It’s a cow. Form the udders over your stomach with your hands and say “moo”. Let´s try this together.
Soon I´ll start to count to three. One-two-three-one-two-three and so on. Every time I hit the number three you choose one of those creatures and you will choose it secretly. Don´t tell anyone which one you´re going to choose. In every “three” you will act like one of the creatures with the exact sound and movement.
The goal of this game is that in some point (perhaps?) during the game you might all act like the same creature at the same time. That is how you win the game together.”
After the exercise you can have a small discussion.
What was your favorite element, why?
Did you try to find a strategy to win or to make the group to act together?
What did you feel? What kind of emotions or thoughts you had during the exercise?
What kind of creatures could we make together?
How did it feel to use your voice in this way?
